About the Author

Nina Rocket is a senior at Arizona State University currently enrolled in this Global Cities course that made this website possible. She will graduate in Fall 2018 with a BA in Psychology and minor in Sociocultural Anthropology. Although Sociocultural Anthropology is her minor, her passion is in the realm of anthropology. 

Nina has also worked with her professor, Dr. Koptiuch, on Visualizing Immigrant Phoenix, a grant-funded research project by NCUIRE (New College Undergraduate Inquiry & Research Experience) at the ASU West campus. Visualizing Immigrant Phoenix is focused on highlighting the positive impact that migrants have in our communities. Her appreciation for cultural diversity extended into this project as she learned how diverse a city Karachi is.

Outside of school, she keeps busy with her kids, PTO duties, and                                                                                                            community involvement.
